Dallas International School Student Competes in District Spelling Bee

On 16 February, Upper School Student Nadine Bandek represented Dallas International School (DIS) at the Annual Private School County Bee. She progressed through the ranks of class, grade and then school bee before being selected to compete for a chance to participate in the National Scripps Spelling Bee. Advanced language skills surely played a role in analyzing words with international origins. A special thanks to the classmates who came to support Nadine and to Patty DeVilliers, DIS 8th Grade English Teacher, who facilitated all of the school spelling bees.
