On Sunday, January 26, the DIS community came together at the Jonsson Performance Hall on UTD’s campus for the 19th annual DIS Music Concert. DIS students CM2 through 12th grade performed vocal and instrumental selections for their families, friends, and DIS faculty and staff. There were classical and contemporary pieces, solos and group performances, and even some special surprises, including the Teachers Ensemble, made of Waterview teachers, singing “Sound of Silence.” The middle school band opened the concert with “Get Back” by The Beatles, and the high school band closed out the concert with “Sunday Morning” by Maroon 5. A very special thank you to Music Director, Mario Rapaj, for organizing such a special evening!
