Good Shepherd’s 7th grade students recently returned from Northwest Arkansas as a part of the the school’s Classroom of the Earth Program, where they camped along the beautiful Buffalo National River. Each year Good Shepherd students travel to different parts of the southwest to learn about the wilderness and the importance of “Leave No Trace.” On this year’s adventure, the students continued to expand their knowledge of backpacking, changes in weather, cooking, cleaning, and traveling as a group; sharpening the skills they will need in August for their final 10-day backpacking trip to Colorado!
