The Rangerettes from Ursuline Academy, under the direction of Linda Coffin and Debra Roth, received high honors in the North Texas Regionals Dance/Drill Team Competition in Rockwall, TX.

The Rangerettes Team won the Sweepstakes Award and the Gussie Nell Davis Award.  These outstanding awards were achieved by all 3 judges scoring the 4 Team performances at 93 or above. The Judges also selected the Rangerettes for the Judges Award for their performances in Military, Pom, Open, and Jazz routines.  As the tradition continues, the Ursuline Academy Rangerettes won the Academic Champions in the Large School category bringing in the highest GPA for their team.  The team also won the Giving Back Award.  This is a special award given to 1 out of 30 teams who goes above and beyond in the area of community service. The team won the Gold Award as they were selected as Best Overall in three of the following categories:  Precision, Choreography, Technique, or Presentation.  In addition, the Rangerettes were awarded Best in Class – Runner Up in the Large Team division.  The team wrapped up the awards by winning Best of the Best Teams and placed 11th out of the 30 teams that competed.

The Rangerettes competed in the Elite Ensemble group and knocked it out of the park.  This select group of dancers received the Sweepstakes Award for all 4 of their dances receiving scores of 90 or above from all of the judges.  They received the Judges Award for Jazz, Kick and Hip Hop. This group of dancers received the Silver Award for being Best Overall in two of the following categories:  Precision, Choreography, Technique, or Presentation.  Wrapping up this section with a Best in Class Runner Up Award.  

In addition to the many team routines, the Rangerettes Officers won big in the Officers division.  These 7 young ladies – Allyson P, Alexandria T, Natalya H, Jordan P, Mattia C, Courtney L, & Maggie S – were awarded the Judges Award for their Military performance.  In addition, they received the Bronze Award as they were Best Overall in one of the following categories: Precision, Choreography, Technique or Presentation.  The Officers wrapped up the awards by winning Best in Class Runner Up. 

Allyson P and Courtney L won the Large School Division for their duet. Alex T and Natalya H were awarded Runner Up in the Large School division for their duet. Sixteen of our ladies performed solos at the Regionals Competition.  Tied for 5th place was Jordan P and Hannah B.  Ciana C placed 4th, Allyson P placed 3rd, Millie K placed 2nd runner up and Courtney L was the Winner in the Large School Division.  

Next on their calendar the Rangerettes have been invited to perform at Disney World in addition you can catch them locally at Ursuline Academy Basketball games and Jesuit College Prep Soccer games.  Please keep up with us through Social Media and our website https://www.jesuitdallas.org/rangerettes
