Jesuit Rangerettes Officers win big at American Dance/Drill Team Officer Camp

The Jesuit Rangerettes Officers celebrate successes at the American Dance/Drill Team Officer Camp. Our Officers brought home American Team of the Week-the highest award at the competition. This award is given based on outstanding discipline, personal enthusiasm, and performance throughout the week.

In addition, our Dance Officers were awarded the Sweepstakes Diamond Award as all their judged routines scored above 90.  They also earned the Home Routine Award; Best Overall Officer Group Dance Technique; & Best Overall Officer Group Dance Precision. On Day 2 they were voted All American Team of the day voted by the instructors, in addition they were voted Most Admired Team of the Week voted by the other teams.

Individually, we did equally as well with Courtney L. earning the most prestigious award of Dance Company. Instructors awarded an elite number of students a Gold American Dance Company ribbon and acrylic award for exceptionally talented dancers displaying outstanding technique. Courtney L. also earned Miss High Kick and became a finalist for the National Competition. In addition, Outstanding Performer Award was given to Courtney L. for her exceptional talent, effort, and leadership.

Top young women are nominated for the All American Dance/Drill Team and All American Honorable Mention.  Auditions for these honor groups were held on the final day of camp. Any girl that had received a red ribbon by audition time is eligible to try out with the Camp Dance, which was taught the first day of camp. Recipients were announced on the final day of camp at the Awards Ceremony and received a ribbon for their recognition. This year’s award winners were Courtney L., Maggie S., Mattia C. and Taylor L. receiving All American and Zoe G. and Hannah B. receiving All American-Honorable Mention. In addition, these young ladies have earned the opportunity to perform at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl.

Next on the schedule for the Jesuit Rangerettes is line camp. All our young ladies will learn and perfect our performances for Football season and beyond. Please keep up with us through Social Media and our website www.jesuitrangerettes.org
