One of Dallas’ most beloved holiday traditions to kick-off the shopping season, the Chi Omega Christmas Market, is proud to announce a new, virtual format. Co-chaired by Jana Beth Eidson, Taylor Eidson Wood and Savannah Eidson Near, the new, virtual Market will allow shoppers the ability to participate in the longstanding, 43-year tradition of the Chi Omega Christmas from the safety of their own homes, shopping from a curated gift guide, and give back to some of North Texas’ most deserving beneficiaries whose work has not halted during these unprecedented times. The team elected to pivot the Market to a virtual format, rather than cancel the event, in an effort to raise much needed funds for some of North Texas’ most deserving nonprofits, as well as provide an opportunity to help sustain small business merchants during these trying times. In its 42-year history, Chi Omega Christmas Market has supported 120 different local North Texas agencies and donated more than $9 million dollars. The show must go on.
This year's beneficiaries include: Bridge Breast Network, Braswell Child Development Center, CitySquare, DME Exchange of Dallas, Family Gateway, Grant Halliburton Foundation, Make-A-Wish of North Texas, Mi Escuelita Preschool, Mommies In Need, New Friends New Life, Our Friends Place, PediPlace, Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and The Senior Source.
The Chi Omega Christmas Virtual Market is free to shop, but we hope shoppers will strongly consider making a donation to the Market through the website. A dollar to the Market is a dollar directly to 14 North Texas beneficiaries making a difference in the community. Early Access First Call for Patrons is Nov. 9 with a 100% tax deductible donation.
