Kick off the holiday season with holly jolly fun, fireworks, kids crafts, museum visits and so much more at MetroPCS Fair Park Holiday. Admission is free!
Take the kids to Santa’s Workshop for free crafts and activities, entertainment, pictures with Santa and more at the Centennial Building. (Santa will be on site for free visits from noon – 5:30 p.m. Photo buttons are $5, or bring a camera for free snap shots!) While inside, head to the Holiday Gift Market and find an assortment of quality merchandise, holiday décor, fun finds and tasty treats to satisfy anyone’s gift-buying needs and budgets.
Outside, marvel at the beautiful Bellagio-style “dancing water” shows choreographed to holiday music at the Esplanade Fountain. Stroll around Fair Park and soak up all the splendor and art the historic gem has to offer. Plus enjoy free or reduced admission to Fair Park’s museums (at varying times) including the African American Museum, Children's Aquarium at Fair Park, Museum of Nature & Science, Hall of State, Texas Museum of Automotive History and Texas Discovery Gardens.
At 6:15 p.m. enjoy a Dallas Wind Symphony Quartet performance followed by the official City of Dallas tree-lighting ceremony at 7 p.m., a “dancing water” show at the Esplanade Fountain, plus a fantastic fireworks finale from the rooftops of the Centennial and Automobile buildings sponsored by Gold Metal Recyclers. Throughout the holiday season, thousands of sparkling LED lights will surround the Esplanade Fountain.
Admission is FREE. The City of Dallas charges $10 to park within the gates of Fair Park, or ride DART’s Green Line to the Fair Park Station. Holiday concessions will be available for sale. MetroPCS Fair Park Holiday is hosted by Friends of Fair Park, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
