Join us for the Second Annual Israel Today Symposium. This community-wide event addressing Israel's current, future and past impact on the world and at home will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at Temple Shalom.
Select from over 27 different topics, two morning and/or two afternoon breakout lectures, led by knowledgeable speakers from across the country. Topics include: Has Israel Been Trumped?, Why Evangelical Christians are pro-Israel, Effective Israel Advocacy, Combating BDS Activities in the Business World, and many more. Keynote Speakers are: Andrew M. Paley (Sr. Rabbi Temple Shalom and member of Faith Forward Dallas: Faith Leaders United for Peace and Justice); Reverend Dr. Deedee M. Coleman (leader of Russell St. Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit) andCharles Pulman (Dallas attorney, Pro-Israel activist and founder of Why Israel Matters). Topic speakers include: retired Ambassador Yoram Ettinger, Neil Lazarus, Shira Lander and Texas State Representative Phil King. Community Partners: Temple Shalom, Congregation Anshai Torah, Congregation Beth Torah, Congregation Shearith Israel and Temple Emanu-El. Cost: $18 includes all day sessions and a boxed Kosher Lunch.
