Cedar Crest Golf Course will host the Dallas Putting Championship Oct. 21 to benefit local student golfers.

The event supports scholarships for DISD student golfers

Join us at newly renovated Cedar Crest Golf Course for the First Annual Greater Dallas Putting Championship on Friday, Oct. 21 from (9 a.m. morning wave; 1 p.m. afternoon wave).  The event will be a two-person team format and limited to a field of 108 teams to see who can win bragging rights as the Best Putters in Dallas. Cedar Crest is located at 1800 Southerland in a popular tree-lined Oak Cliff neighborhood. The entry fee is $100 per team.

North Texas area golf enthusiasts are invited to play at the newly reopened Cedar Crest, which is centrally located near downtown Dallas and has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation. The Crest has 100 years of golf history and even hosted a Major - the 1927 PGA Championship and it's a treasured gem in the Oak Cliff community.  Participants are also welcome to relax before or after the putting championship in the updated Austin stone clubhouse and banquet facility.

Golfers will get a chance to putt on all 18 brand new Mini Verde Bermuda greens.  The event will also feature a free putting clinic by teaching pro Pat O'Brian and the top 20 teams will win valuable golf merchandise.  Proceeds from the event will support scholarships for DISD golfers as part of a local initiative sponsored by Deloitte and the North Texas PGA Jr. Golf Foundation.
