ESD Student Selected as Finalist for Davey O'Brien Scholarship

An Episcopal School of Dallas student has been named one of five finalists for the 2011 Davey O'Brien High School Scholarship Award, which is a $20,000 grant that is given to an "exceptional senior student-athlete from the North Texas area."

ESD senior Kim Reimold was selected as one of the finalists. Her credentials include being an AP Scholar, National Merit Commended Student and a former editor for ESD's student newspaper. Also, for upholding ethics in journalism, Reimold was selected to be a part of the Quill and Scroll Society.

The winner of the scholarship will be announced on Jan. 17 and formally recognized at an awards dinner on Feb. 20 at the Fort Worth Club.

The other finalists for the award are Haley Beck at Coppell High School, William Jameson at Duncanville High School, Lee Lueder at Lake Highlands High School and Will Squiers at Cistercian Preparatory School.
