The Rangerettes from Ursuline Academy, under the direction of Linda Coffin and Debra Roth, received high honors in the North Texas Regionals Dance/Drill Team Competition in Rockwall, TX.

The Rangerettes Team won the Sweepstakes Award as they received a 1st division rating for the performance of ALL of their dances.  In addition, the team received the Gussie Nell Davis Award of Excellence as the team received 90’s and above on all of their dances from all of the judges.  The Judges also selected the Rangerettes for the Judges Award for all four of the team routines.  As the tradition continues, the Ursuline Academy Rangerettes won the Academic Champions in the Large School category bringing in the highest GPA for their team.  The team also won Best in Class, Best Overall Choreography, Best Overall Presentation, and Best Overall Technique.  The team wrapped up the awards winning Best of the Best Teams and placing in the top 10 of the 52 teams that competed.

In addition to the many team routines, the Rangerettes Officers won big in the Officers division.  These 6 young ladies – Grace S, Lindsey H, Lexi Z, Allyson P, Natalya H, and Alex T - brought home the Sweepstakes Award and the Gussie Nell Davis Award of Excellence.  In addition, they won Runner up Best in Class Officers, the Judges Award and Best Overall Choreography.

Courtney L and Allyson P won the Large School Division for their duet.  Sixteen of our ladies performed solos at the Regionals Competition.  Tied for 5th place was Lindsey H, Mattia C, and Allyson P.  Natalya H placed 4th and Courtney L was the First Runner Up.

Finally, our Director, Linda Coffin was awarded American Outstanding Director.  This is a big honor in addition to great timing as this is her 20th year directing the Rangerettes.
