Preston Hollow-ites now have a new place to pick up a six pack of beer or a bottle of wine. And the selection is great.

A Spec's store has officially opened its doors on the northwest side of the Preston Road and Royal Lane intersection at the Preston Royal Village shopping center in the space where Blockbuster was formerly located.

The location, which is about 10,000 square feet, only sells beer, wine and specialty foods. People looking to purchase their favorite bottle of liquor will have to shop somewhere else — such as the first Spec's location that opened in Dallas at Walnut Hill and North Central Expressway in the space that used to be occupied by Toys R Us.

Spec's is a chain that is based out of Houston and has locations in other Texas cities, including Austin, Corpus Christi and El Paso.
