The first Dallas location of the Houston-based Spec's Wines, Spirits and Finer Foods chain is opening next week near the intersection of North Central Expressway and Walnut Hill Lane.

On Monday, the 48,000-square-foot liquor store will be opening its doors at 9500 North Central Expressway, Ste. 200 in a building that formerly housed Toys R Us.

The store will have a selection of more than 10,000 spirits, wines and speciality food items for sale.

Currently, there are more than 90 locations of the chain, mainly in Austin, Corpus Christi and Houston, and the company has announced it will be opening two more stores around Dallas in the future.
