Dallas International School Participates in IAA Tennis Tournament

The Dallas International School (DIS) Tennis Team participated in the IAA Tennis Tournament on 2 March 2016 at the University of Texas-Dallas and competed alongside the Fairhill School, Oakhill Academy, Cambridge School, Winston School and Parish Episcopal School respectively. This was the first time in the school’s history that a middle school tennis team had participated in a Tennis Tournament, with 14 students taking a stand.

Congratulations to the Flodin sisters who battled it out Venus and Serena style in the Girls’ Singles Championship only to have older sister Isabella prevail against her younger exuberant sibling! Dallas International School also had two Boys’ Singles team members Russell Ramsay (who made his tournament début) and Harper Moxcey make the semi-finals and rally through a challenging game. The DIS Athletic Coaches are very proud of how their athletes represented the school with great dignity and sportsmanship!

Dallas International School (DIS) is the only private school in the DFW metroplex offering a multilingual education via an international curriculum. DIS has more than 670 students in preschool through grade 12, located on two campuses. The Preschool (2yr+) through 4th grades are at 6039 Churchill Way, and the 5th through 12th grades are at 17811 Waterview Parkway. Both campuses are easily accessible for residents in Dallas, Plano, and Richardson. In 2015, DIS was ranked the #4 most challenging Private High School in the Nation by the Washington Post.
