The Princess Bride, with its fairy tale adventure about a beautiful young woman and her one true love, kicks-off Spring Movies on the Lawn this Friday, April 21 at Crown Hill Memorial Park located at 9700 Webb Chapel Road. “We decided offering free Friday night movies would be a wonderful way to serve our local community. Families can gather up their children, spread out blankets and chairs, and enjoy their evening,” said Stephanie Hughes, co-owner of Hughes Family Tribute Center and Crown Hill Memorial Park in the Bachman Lake area of Dallas. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. and free lemonade and popcorn will be served.

Spring Movies on the Lawn continues with free screenings of:

Because of Winn Dixie on Friday, May 5 at 8:30 p.m.
Night at the Museum on Friday, May 19 at 8:30 p.m.

If you arrive early, you can visit the grave of Bonnie Parker of Bonnie and Clyde notoriety, Crown Hill's most celebrated resident. The 27-acre cemetery also includes a Dallas historical landmark – the mausoleum built in 1940 in the art deco style of the 1920s and recognized for its artistic value, including its ageless materials, handcrafted details, and antique stained glass windows.
