A shopping center in Highland Park will be hosting a silent auction for gingerbread houses later this month, and all of the proceeds raised at the event will benefit a local children's charity.

Highland Park Village will be hosting The Gingerbread Stroll from Nov. 15 to Nov. 30, and attendees will have a chance to bid on elaborate gingerbread houses to support the Women's Auxiliary to Children's Medical Center in Dallas.

Top pastry chefs in Dallas are creating the gingerbread houses, which will be displayed at 14 stores throughout Highland Park Village, and attendees will be able to bid on the houses in a silent auction.

In addition to the auction, stroll participants will have an opportunity to purchase a "Gingerbread Man Cookie" at Celebrity Cafe & Bakery. A ballot to vote on your favorite gingerbread house will be provided with each gingerbread man cookie that is purchased, and the money raised from the cookie sales will also be donated to the charity.

All of the proceeds raised at the event will benefit the Women's Auxiliary to Children's Medical Center, which is a non-profit organization that has a mission of bettering the lives of children by providing support to the medical center.

Merchants that are participating in The Gingerbread Stroll include Beretta Gallery, Calame Jewelers, Celebrity Cafe & Bakery, Cole Haan, Deno's of Highland Park, ESCADA, Kiehl's Since 1851, Marquee Grill & Bar/Village Theatre, Molto Formaggio, Robert Talbott Carmel, St. Michael's Woman's, Stephanie Anne, Trina Turk, Tom Thumb and SCOOP NYC.

Also, a variety of Dallas pastry chefs and bakeries will be participating in the event, including Celebrity Cafe & Bakery, Four Seasons Resort and Club, Hilton Anatole, Pastry Arts Program, Tart Bakery and Pastry Boutique, The Hospitality Sweet, The Adophus Hotel, Tower Club and more.

So be sure to come out and bid on a gingerbread house or purchase a gingerbread man cookie to help benefit Dallas children this holiday season!
