A group of Preston Hollow Seniors took advantage of free Thursday admission to the State Fair. They decided to take the walking trip instead of their regular exercise class. The adventure started at Mockingbird Station where they caught DART which let them off right at the entrance to the Fair. First stop was Big Tex, a corn dog and then the Bird Show. Then, they walked through the Midway to the Tower Building for a planning meeting. After drinks, snacks (no calorie counting at the Fair) and checking their pedometers to see how many steps had been taken, they were off to the Automobile Building and the Food and Fibre Pavilion, where all the craft prize winners are on display. Big Tex was also there, carved from butter! Everyone had a great time, lots of exercise and DART worked very well.

There are many fantastic exercise and fitness programs for Senior Citizens in the Dallas area, such as this group from the "Adventures In Learning" program that meets on Thursdays in the Preston Hollow area.
