The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League is excited to announce that Fearing’s Restaurant will cook up a very southern-style menu for the Southern Savour Supper Club. It will be a garden party fundraiser that brings together friends and business leaders for an evening with a supper club style gracious and beautiful dinner served family style. The evening will include both a live and silent auction, a winepull and a private musical performance by Suzuki Strings of Dallas and the One O’Clock Lab Band from University of North Texas. The dress is garden party chic, with white and seersucker suits, hats and canes encouraged. There will be a Cat on a Hot Tin Roof Award – Best Dressed Big Daddy. The event is limited to 200.
The Honorary Chair is Sherwood Wagner. It is chaired by Bettina Hennessy and co-chaired by Renée Querbes Farren. Lisa Loy Laughlin is the DSOL President.
The event will be Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the magnificent southern estate of Amanda and Brint Ryan. The Patron Party will be held on April 25 at the home of Sherwood Wagner.
The Supper Club is going to be VERY Southern and is based on a concept from two separate organizations: The St. Francisville Southern Garden Symposium and the Delta Supper Club. Delta Supper Club has been written up in Forbes, USA Today, Garden and Gun, New York Times among others.
A wine, shopping and date night will be held at Swoozie’s at 8417 Preston Center Plaza on April 17th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Swoozie's is offering 15% off purchases and then will in turn, donate the 15% back to the DSO League all day. Just in time for Easter, graduation, baby and wedding shower gift shopping! Guests are asked to bring a bottle of wine valued over $35.00 or more for the wine pull. After Swoozie’s, the fun can be followed by a date night with husbands or friends at one of the many restaurants in the Preston Center Area.
Benefiting: For 72 years, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League has raised over $20 million dollars to support the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Community Outreach and Education Programs including DSO on the Go, Community Concerts and Performances, Cecil and Ida Green Youth Concerts, Symphony Yes!, DSO Kids and Young Strings.

About Sherwood Wagner
Sherwood has been a longtime supporter of the DSO and is involved with numerous charities in Dallas. Among others, she has served as President of Girls Inc. Auxiliary, Honorary Chair of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Gala and Honorary Chair for the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum Mad Hatter’s Tea. Sherwood currently serves on the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra Board of Directors and the Aging Mind Foundation Board of Directors.
About the One O’Clock Lab Band
For 71 years the One O’Clock Lab Band has been the premier ensemble of the Jazz Studies Division at the University of North Texas College of Music in Denton. The One O'Clock evolved from an extracurricular stage band founded in 1927 into a curricular laboratory dance band in 1947, when North Texas launched the first jazz degree program in the world. For the next 20 years — until 1967 — North Texas was the only US university that offered a degree in jazz studiesThe band has performed and toured in Australia, Canada, England, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Thailand, and The Netherlands. Since the 1970s, the band’s albums have received seven Grammy nominations, including two for Lab 2009.
