Do your New Year’s resolutions include empowering your voice through spiritual growth and education, volunteering to help others less fortunate than you and making new and interesting friends?  If so, visit the Disciples Women’s Ministry at Central Christian Church.  

The group meets at 10:30 a.m. on the first Tuesday of each month in the church parlor.  Following a short business meeting and program, lunch is enjoyed in Fellowship Hall.  

This month’s speaker is Valda Dracopoulos who will share the story of Jesus freeing a young boy from the disease that keeps him bound— reminding us that faith, even the size of a mustard seed, can free us from the forces that keep us from living an abundant life. 

Following the program, lunch will be served in Fellowship Hall.  Hostesses Mary Chris Gibbons, Katheryn Livengood and Margaret Wilson will provide pulled-pork, cole slaw and five-bean cassoulet.  Dessert will be one of Margaret’s famous cakes. 

You do not have to be a member of Central, or any church for that matter, to enrich your life with the Disciples Women’s Ministry.  Each month we offer interesting programs, good eats ($5.00 for lunch) and the opportunity to make new friends.  In April we will visit the Ft. Worth Stockyards for our annual field trip excursion. Disciples Women is an exciting way to begin the coming year.
