Join Disciples Women Tuesday morning, February 6, as we enjoy good friends and good food as the Disciples Women celebrate the month of love.

“A heart relationship with God shapes our identity, helping us to know who we are and “whose” we are, allowing us to live life truly free,” is the “heart “of the program based on John 8: 31-38, presented by this month’s speaker Sherrie Narusis.

Freedom in Christ sets us free from self-doubt and from what others think or say about us. It gives us the freedom to be ourselves, pursue the future and live in relationships that grow in love, forgiveness and understanding.

Everyone who has heard Sherrie speak is looking forward to her presentation and you won’t want to miss it, either.

Following the meeting, Central’s very own “queen of homemaking,” Rosemary Davenport, will host the luncheon.  We’re in for a treat as love fills the air, hearts and flowers top the tables and a delicious lunch is served.  A sneak preview of the menu reveals a vegetable strata and strawberry cake among the menu items to be enjoyed. 

As always, we’ll have a door prize and lots of fun. So join us at 10:30 in Central’s parlor. You don’t have to be a member of the church to be a part of Disciples Women.  If you are looking for ways to reach out to the community, help those less fortunate, learn about God’s love for us and make new friends, Disciples Women may be the New Year’s resolution that you can joyfully keep.
