John Maxwell Team Free Youth Leadership Event Comes to North Texas 

DALLAS – September 26, 2019 – Equip, Empower, Inspire, Transform, are the four core values that represent YouthMax DFW, the FREE youth leadership event happening on October 26, 2019.  Certified John Maxwell Team Speakers and Coaches, along with Business Leaders representing various industries in North Texas, will be speaking at this one-of-a-kind youth conference.  

Walter Finnegan, Executive Director of the John Maxwell Team states, “Young people face challenging decisions every day, imagine if each one was equipped with practical tools and ideas to navigate through bullying, failure, low self-esteem.  The YouthMax program and the John Maxwell team members will equip those attending with the tools to meet those challenges in a positive and productive way. “ 

 Inspiration for hosting the North Texas was spearheaded by a thirteen year old from Lewisville, Texas.  A member of the John Maxwell Youth program, Sofia Richey, will co-chair the 2019 conference.  “One of the reasons I wanted to get involved with the John Maxwell Team youth leadership program is the opportunity to learn from transformational leaders, like John Maxwell.” said Sofia Richey.  “Adding value to my community and serving is something my parents have always encouraged us to do.  There’s so many challenges we face as Teens and if we can provide them valuable resources and tools to empower them to face those challenges, then they’ll become an inspiration for others and we can be change the world needs.”

Local organizations and businesses will be onsite to provide additional resources for youth participants and their parents.  The Epifania M. Caturay, M.D. Foundation and Pediatric and Adolescent Center of Grand Prairie and Arlington will also be hosting a “teen focused” health fair.

YouthMax DFW 2019 is a FREE youth leadership conference and will be held at El Centro College from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.   The conference is open to youth participants ages 8-18 and parents can register at www.youthmaxdfw.com to secure their tickets.

About YouthMax:  John Maxwell Team’s calling “Add value to people all over the world,” centers around one core truth that “Leadership is influence, nothing more, nothing less.”  The model, methodology, and approach to the organization’s core beliefs are built upon the desire to influence others effectively using leadership, speaking, coaching, training or sales tools to influence others in a manner that adds value.  While the John Maxwell Team successfully developed leaders all over the world, a pathway began to evolve for budding youth leaders to exemplify Leadership Gold, while connecting and adding value others.  In 2017, the John Maxwell Team Global Youth Initiative was launched to equip youth with the skills they will need to serve as leaders in all areas of their life.  YouthMax DFW is a one (1) day FREE youth leadership event that will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at El Centro College.  Youth who attended these events were equipped, inspired, and empowered to have a positive self-image, respect themselves and others, be a positive influence, and fall forward toward success. The youth leadership conference is open to all children and youth groups, ages 8-18.
