With extensive safety protocols and a limited number of guests, the Premier Collection on Lemmon Avenue recently celebrated the addition of Aston Martin with the debut of the new DBX, Aston Martin’s first luxury SUV.

Despite having to wear masks and practice social distancing, guests dined on a lavish charcuterie spread, or they could enjoy individually packaged boards prepared by Fount Board & Table. Hendricks Gin created a signature summer punch cocktail for the evening.

“It was good to see people out and about,” said Heath Strayhan, Premier Collection General Manager. “So much has changed this year, but the joy of gathering with friends, enjoying a cocktail and admiring an exquisite new automobile has not diminished. We are thankful our friends were able to join us.”

Aston Martin says its first SUV is “founded on the principles of beauty, luxury and driving dynamics…powered by the spirit of adventure.”

Translation: the 2020 DBX is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, creating 542 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. The nimble DBX can leap from 0-to-60-mph in 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 181 mph.

The beautiful beast is not limited to shopping centers and tollways. It’s built to tackle off-road challenges just as eloquently. The all-wheel-drive DBX’s adaptive air suspension can raise the SUV up to 9.25 inches of ground clearance. And it has a respectable towing capacity of 5,940 pounds. Despite a full-length panoramic glass sunroof, the roof rack can support up to 220 pounds.

Inside the luxuriously appointed cabin, the DBX has a fully digital gauge cluster, four-zone climate control with heated rear seats. Rear-seat space offers comfortable headroom and legroom for adults. There's also plenty of cargo space, too, with 22 cubic feet of space behind the 40-20-40 split-folding rear seats, and 54 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.

The 2020 DBX starts at $189,900 with a full range of customization available through the bespoke ‘Q by Aston Martin – Commission’ services.

The Premier Collection is located at 5300 Lemmon Avenue, and includes luxury and performance brands Aston-Martin, Bentley, Koenigsegg, Maserati, McLaren, and Rolls-Royce.
