On Sunday, April 15, more than 120 guests filled the newly remodeled Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel to honor Temple Shalom Sisterhood Woman of Valor 2018 award winner Staci Mendelsohn.
Staci is a familiar face at Temple Shalom, having served as Sisterhood Past President while dedicating her life to community service. She followed in the footsteps of her parents, who were both active members of the congregation as well as Brotherhood and Sisterhood President, thus the theme for the evening “L’Dor V’Dor (From Generation to Generation).
Part of the proceeds from this event were donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, and Community Homes for Adults, Inc (CHAI).
The evening was made complete with an auction, dinner, dancing to the music of Goga, and Sisterhood’s heartfelt tribute to Staci.
“Our 2018 honoree, Staci Mendelsohn embodies what it means to be a Woman of Valor,” exclaimed Co-chair Ali Rhodes. “Using her strength and love for all things Jewish to make our community a better place, and our world a better place.”
