In 2018, The Notre Dame School of Dallas was named the grand prize winner nationwide in the  Today’s Catholic Teacher “Innovations in Catholic Education” (ICE) Awards in the category of “Fundraising and Total Community Involvement” for our annual Spring Show, and received special recognition at the ICE Awards event at the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio. Contestants included elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools across the country.

For the past seven years, The Notre Dame Spring Show has brought the community together in a fundraising effort that supports The Notre Dame School of Dallas. The event features performances by every student attending Notre Dame in an exciting experience that allows every child to feel like a true star! With a different theme each year, parent and volunteer involvement makes this event special. Community support comes from donations from over 50 businesses; this has allowed the school to raise over $100,000 to assist children with developmental disabilities in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Notre Dame School educates students with developmental disabilities and facilitates their integration into society.  As the only school in Dallas exclusively serving this student population, Notre Dame is a unique educational resource in our city and provides special education to 158 students ages 6 to 22.  Notre Dame School is a Catholic school and is sponsored by the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
