Artists for Animals will be hosting Paw Print Painting on the Northaven Trail – a unique activity for dog owners and their furry friends. The event will be held on Saturday, September 19 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm and is designed to ensure a safe, socially-distanced experience in an outdoor setting.
Attendees will be led by a professional artist, Kaitlyn Glass, to create a one-of-a-kind canvas painting using their dog’s paw prints. Materials will be provided including non-toxic paints, a stretched canvas and other supplies.
Space is limited. Tickets are $40 and available at: www.tinyurl.com/pawprintstrail.
“The event will allow dog lovers to enjoy a relaxed evening creating art in beautiful outdoor setting,” said Teresa Berg, co-founder of Artists for Animals. “The dog’s paw print is the inspiration and one of the components for a unique painting that will be a star on the wall of participant’s homes.”
“When Artists for Animals approached us with the idea of this creative, socially-distanced and pet friendly event, it aligned perfectly with activities we are promoting on the Northaven Trail,” added Jeff Kitner, president of Friends of Northaven Trail. “We look forward to seeing everyone on the trail for this one-of-a-kind experience.”
All funds raised through the event will benefit the Artists for Animals Community Grants program, which funds various local animal rescue organizations in North Texas.
