The Mission Control gala committee has assembled a stellar evening featuring legendary astronauts, aviation industry leaders, as well as congressional and state legislative members to celebrate the 2013 Frontiers of Flight Museum Gala set for Saturday, April 27 at the museum located at 6911 Lemmon Ave. Congressman Ralph Hall, who serves the 4th District of Texas, will be presented with the coveted George E. Haddaway Award for Achievement in Aviation in recognition of his dedicated advocacy of science, space and aviation as a member and Chairman of the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Col. Walter Cunningham, USMC (Ret.), the pilot on the Apollo 7 Mission, and his wife, Dot Cunningham, are the Honorary Chairs for the 2013 Gala, themed “SPACE.” During the event, attendees will welcome many special museum supporters including former U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, Congressman Sam Johnson, and Texas Lt.
