ESD senior launches “Finding Hope”, a young readers story about a dog and his adoptive immigrant family.

Christina Gordon, a graduate of John S. Armstrong Elementary and a current senior at Episcopal School of Dallas, wrote this short story following a class assignment given by her English teacher during her sophomore year.

What started as a short essay,  following the viewing of a documentary about  immigrants hardship and pursuit of a better life in the early 1900s,  ended in this adorable compelling story from the voice of a stray dog and his journey to America.  This book will capture the minds of young readers as they follow the challenges of Benito, not only in search of a loving family, but new beginnings.
