Parish sophomore Xavier Suggs (No. 1) caught three passes for 71 yards in a TAPPS playoff victory over Grapevine Faith.
Parish Episcopal plays Midland Christian at 6 p.m. Saturday at Clyde's Bulldog Stadium in West Texas in the second round of the TAPPS state football playoffs.
Parish (8-3) is coming off a dramatic 30-27 victory over Grapevine Faith in the first round last week. Parish freshman running back Dominic Williams rushed for 250 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Tom Stewart had a 96-yard touchdown run. Parish, led by linemen Chris Braman and John Brannon, held Faith to 14 yards rushing and Davis Devereaux had a critical quarterback sack which stopped Faith's last drive for to set up a tying field goal.
