Shelton School senior Taylor Mitchell, a Mesquite resident, has been awarded as grand prize winner of the Dallas International Dyslexia Association's (IDA) Beyond Words photo contest.  Her work will be featured at the Dallas IDA's regional conference in Richardson, TX on February 4, as well as on social media and IDA's website.  Taylor was also awarded a $50 gift card.  Taylor's participation in the contest helps raise awareness of dyslexia and its impact on a person's development. 

Shelton Scholars Program Coordinator John Hodges, a board member of the local IDA branch, presented Taylor with her letter of award.
