Shelton School’s Theatre Arts Department presents the acclaimed musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. The show runs February 9 – 12.
A perfect show for the entire family, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is the irresistible musical about the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel's favorite son. The first collaboration of composer Andrew Lloyd Webber (Jesus Christ Superstar, Phantom of the Opera, Cats) and lyricist Tim Rice (Jesus Christ Superstar, The Lion King), Joseph blends pop, country and rock into an uplifting, technicolored story of biblical proportions. The show runs just under two hours, including intermission.
Under the direction of Anné Hughes, director of fine arts at Shelton, the production features a cast and chorus of 53 students, a technical crew of 21, and 18 student band musicians. Blair King is musical director, and Clay Houston heads the crew.
Performances take place February 9 – 11, 7:00 pm and February 12 at 2:00 pm at Shelton’s campus, 15720 Hillcrest Road, Dallas, TX 75248.
