MINT Dentistry and Trinity Church Partner to Feed Those in Need For Thanksgiving and Beyond

Two events on November 22 celebrate Thanksgiving; giveaways will continue weekly

through end of 2020

MINT dentistry is going beyond the world of dentistry in its mission to serve the community. To help people in need, MINT has partnered with Trinity Church to give away free groceries every Sunday until the end of the year to help people experiencing food insecurity. To give thanks and share that gratitude with others, MINT dentistry and Trinity Church will start by conducting two grocery giveaways this Sunday, November 22, in special, dedicated drive-throughs set up by Trinity Church.

The first Thanksgiving grocery giveaway will take place at the Cedar Hill campus of Trinity Church, located at 1231 E. Pleasant Run Road in Cedar Hill, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and runs through 12 p.m. noon, or until supplies run out for 750 Thanksgiving meals (feeding approximately 3,000 people). The first 500 people will receive a 22-pound turkey or a 20-pound hen, along with non-perishables perfect for a Thanksgiving meal: corn, green beans, cranberry sauce, stuffing and more. Others will receive non-perishable groceries such as pasta, canned goods and more. People can simply line up in their vehicles to receive a box (touch-free, from volunteers wearing masks), and a message of hope.

A second Thanksgiving grocery giveaway will then take place at the Fairmeadows campus of Trinity Church at 734 Cavan Road in Duncanville beginning at 12:15 p.m. on November 22. At this giveaway, 300 Thanksgiving meals (feeding approximately 1200 people) will be available and include a cooked ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, bread and cake.

“We are grateful to partner with such a phenomenal church in this mission to provide for our friends and neighbors,” Dr. Harrison, founder of MINT dentistry, said. “Serving families by giving them food is an honor--but providing them hope through that donation means even more.” Dr. Harrison, his wife, Sabrina, and the team at MINT dentistry have donated more than 100,000 meals so far in 2020, and they look forward to many thousands more through this partnership with Trinity Church.

If you or someone you know is in need of groceries, please join one of these two Thanksgiving grocery giveaways on November 22. MINT dentistry and Trinity Church will continue to serve the community with free groceries every Sunday through 2020 at the Trinity Church main campus in Cedar Hill. There is no need to sign up – just show up!  Giving is first-come, first-served in a drive-thru style pick-up line with no contact (following CDC guidelines).

As a result of the effects of COVID-19 on the economy and nation, one out of every four families in America is struggling with food insecurity. The global pandemic has put many individuals and businesses out of work and many are in need of weekly groceries to feed their own families.

MINT dentistry has more than 50 locations in Dallas and Houston, with a highly skilled support staff that specializes in general and cosmetic dentistry. The company also offers orthodontic and oral surgery at various locations throughout the DFW Metroplex.
