Golden anniversary comes in 2021, a year with more need than ever.

Fifty years of helping people in the Metrocrest area of Carrollton, Addison, Farmers Branch, Coppell and the part of Dallas in Denton County, lifting lives and creating opportunity, is something to celebrate. To honor this remarkable anniversary, Metrocrest Services is hosting the Golden Gala on October 30 and invites everyone to join in celebrating 50 years of helping friends and neighbors in the area.

“The biggest achievement in life I can think of is making a difference in someone else’s,” said Tracy Eubanks, CEO of Metrocrest Services. “Through the community’s generous support and the dedication of staff and volunteers, this organization has made that possible for five decades. And we use this anniversary not just as a way to look back and celebrate success, but also as a touchstone and starting point for where we go in the next 50 years.”

Now in its 50thanniversary year, the need that Metrocrest Services faces is greater than ever. Exacerbated by the ongoing pandemic and the deadly winter storm, this year finds North Texans in need in greater numbers than the non-profit agency has ever seen as it helps with rent, food, utilities, workforce development and more in its mission to help battle the impact of poverty and to decrease inequities. The non-profit estimates that needs of its clientele have more than doubled in the past year, with the agency serving 28,066 clients in 2020, an increase of 68 percent over previous years.

Tickets are available now for the Golden Gala, which will be held October 30 starting at 6 p.m. at the Renaissance Hotel at 15201 Dallas Parkway in Addison. Presented by Allstate Insurance- Aaron Augustine and chaired by Deb and Steve Wachs, the gala will include dinner and drinks, live music from The Time Machine Band, a live auction, silent auction, wine pull and gift card pull. Tickets are $125 each with all proceeds benefiting the programs of Metrocrest Services and are available here.

Touching client stories will help attendees celebrate the difference 50 years of dedication makes for a community. Lifetime achievement awards will be presented to Carol Dingman and Lucy Lockwood for their decades spent helping others. Other special announcements about new initiatives will be made, making this an event not to be missed.

The Metrocrest Services Golden Gala is also sponsored by Silver Sponsor Legacy Consulting Group, Ruby Sponsors Verity Instruments, Vari, and Atmos Energy, Sapphire Sponsors Carrollton Regional Medical Center, Hooman & Tannaz Sedighi, and Western Extrusions, VIP Event Sponsor TXU Energy, Valet Sponsor Frost Bank and Cocktail Hour Sponsor The Ratliff Group.
