Kendall Bowser, a 17-year-old pop singer-songwriter, has released the first single from her debut EP: Hey Boy. She has said the song, titled So Simple, tells “a story about emotionally giving someone everything you possibly have to give and then they just simply walk away. The tone of the single is melancholy, yet it weaves music and lyrics together in a manner that I love.” This release marks the first of six original songs on the EP and coincides with the world premiere release of Bowser’s So Simple music video, directed by award-winning video director Carl Diebold.

Bowser, who hails from Dallas, Texas, is no stranger to live performance – she has played well-known venues such as the House of Blues and Gilley’s, and performed the National Anthem to a live audience of more than 20,000 on the nationally televised Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure opening ceremonies in Dallas.

Her first song release “is exciting and scary and everything in between! But I am glad that I finally get the chance for people to hear my songs, which are based on experiences I’ve had.” 

One of Bowser’s biggest influences is Tory Kelly: “She is such an amazing musician and artist, and she has inspired me to love music for what it is.”

Describing her debut EP, Bowser said fans will find that “my songs cover a wide spectrum of music. The EP isn’t necessarily ‘one sound’ but different sounds that I loved making and putting together with amazing artists like Britton Cameron, Margaret Becker and Benji Harris.”

Bowser is a student at PCG Nashville, the artist development program created by music industry veteran Bernard Porter. Through PCG, she has been privy to direction from some of the best instructors in the industry.
