The Warren Center Has Record-Breaking Operation Santa Participation

The holiday season is upon us. To celebrate the occasion, The Warren Center – a nonprofit agency providing professional evaluations, therapy services and support to children with developmental delays and disabilities – invited North Texas families served by the organization to the annual Operation Santa event.

“We are tremendously grateful for the amount of support we have received from the community this holiday season,” said Amy Spawn, executive director of The Warren Center. “With that support, we were able to serve a record-setting 185 families with holiday cheer in a sensitive environment.”

Families who attended the event were able to avoid the fuss of long lines at crowded shopping centers to snag a photo with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. A special sensory photo session with Santa was held for children with autism, providing a more private and calm experience. More than 400 gifts were collected from generous sponsors throughout the community, ensuring that each child in attendance would take home a new toy for the holidays. Additionally, the holiday celebration treated guests to tasty treats, holiday tunes, games, crafts and more.
