Tianyu Arts & Culture, producer of the dazzling Tianyu Lights Festival at Texas Trust CU Theatre, is proud to launch a special community initiative this holiday season: a food drive benefiting Grand Prairie United Charities (GPUC).

From December 1618, festival guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to support local families in need. Donation bins will be located at the festival entrance for easy drop-off.

As we illuminate Grand Prairie with the magic of our festival, we also hope to shine a light on families in need, said Huiyuan Liu, event manager for Tianyu Lights Festival. Partnering with Grand Prairie United Charities allows us to support families right here in Grand Prairie during a season when the need is especially great.

Mayor Welcomes More Than 60 Guests to Opening Night of the DFW Holiday Tradition

The Light Park officially kicked off its 2025 holiday season in Little Elm with a festive ribbon-cutting celebration, drawing more than 60 guests, community partners, and city officials on opening night. Mayor Curtis J. Cornelious delivered welcoming remarks, celebrating The Light Parks Little Elm presence as a beloved, family-friendly holiday tradition in North Texas.

Held at The Light Park Little Elm at 701 Eldorado Pkwy, the ceremony opened with networking and photos under the glow of the parks dazzling displays. Guestsincluding representatives from the Little Elm Chamber of Commerce, local businesses, and area familieswere among the first to enjoy the immersive, drive-through experience featuring millions of synchronized lights, holiday music, and interactive displays.

Were thrilled to welcome The Light Park to Little Elm, said Mayor Cornelious. This event brings joy to families across our city and the DFW region. Its an honor to celebrate the opening of a season that brings our community together in such a magical way.

The Light Park, the largest immersive drive-through holiday light experience in Texas, is inviting families to celebrate the season while giving back in a meaningful way. Beginning this November, all DallasFort Worth and Houston locations will host Drive & Donate Nights, supporting nonprofit partners that serve local children, families, and pets in need.

On select weeknights throughout the holiday season, guests are encouraged to bring new toys, coats, blankets, warm clothing, non-perishable food items, or pet suppliesdepending on the charity spotlighted that evening. Donations will be collected at the entrance, and all items will be delivered directly to participating nonprofit organizations.

As a thank-you, every carload that donates will receive a complimentary HOLIDAY Bundle featuring surprise treats from The Light Park.
