Preston Hollow residents are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs to the Northaven trail for a movie night on Friday.

The Friends of Northaven Trail is sponsoring its first-ever "Movies on the Trail" event, and the local community is encouraged come watch a family-friendly film for free, which will begin at 8 p.m. on May 11 at the trail's respite area at St. Michael's and Lavendal.

The movie that will be screened has not been announced, but it will be kid-friendly.

Though the movie does not begin until 8 p.m., guests are welcome to show up early with a picnic dinner to socialize with friends and neighbors, beginning at 6 p.m. on the trail.
