The Fourth Annual Food Truck Palooza at Temple Shalom was another huge hit. Over 4,000 people enjoyed this Community event from 11am-8pm.

Gourmet Food Trucks from all over the city offered a wide variety of delicious snacks and entrees from cupcakes to sliders and everything in between. Guests also enjoyed pizza, ice cream, deli sandwiches and even sliders with peanut butter!

If that weren’t enough, the $5 admission price included live music, gaga, free popcorn, inflatable bounce houses, a photo booth and fantastic charcoal drawings, face painting, spray on tattoos and balloon characters too! To top it all off, the raffle prizes were better than ever. This year’s Event included Celebrity Judges and a Best of Contest for all the Trucks. Thank you to our outstanding celebrity judges: DJ Quintanilla, Resto Gastro Bistro; Misti Norris, Small Brewpub; and Richard Pollack, Food Critic. Congratulations to Arul Rajah, owner of Simply Dosa who won Best Savory for his Samosa and to Randy Hu owner of Bobo Addiction who won Best Sweet for his Shaved Ice, fruit, cream dessert. The Fan Favorite Award went to Easy Sliders.

Months of planning by committees and volunteers made this event such a huge success. Thank you to Co-Chairs: Robyn Young, Ed Klein, Mark Wayne, Brandy Wayne, Michelle Swanger and Murray Swanger. Thank you to all the Committee Members: Wylee Protas, Ron Wolfe, Mark Lerner, Perry Zidow, Bill Hoffpauer, Myron & Jacquie Schwitzer, Irwin & Dawn Kaufman, LaSonjah Ribak, Toba Reifer, Bella Antebi, Barry & Paddy Epstein, Abbie Alter, Wendy Immerman, Irv Munn, Gail Davidson, Ali Rhodes, Lonna Rae Silverman.
