Michelle Thompson was recently named the new principal for W.T. White High School, and local parents and community members will have an opportunity to meet her on Tuesday.

Thompson, who was formerly the principal at Lakewood Elementary School, will be participating in a meet-and-greet event at 7 p.m. on July 17 at W.T. White High School.

Meredith Manak, the PTA president for Lakewood Elementary, wrote in a PTA newsletter that Thompson was selected to be the principal at W.T. White for “obvious reasons.”

“W.T. White is a very lucky school!” said Manak in the newsletter. “Mrs. Thompson will be greatly missed here at Lakewood Elementary but we wish her the best at her new school.”
