Chairmen of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League's Junior Symphony Ball are currently working hard to get invitations sent out for the annual event, which will be hosted next month.

The theme of this year's Junior Symphony Ball is "Good Times — Texas Style," and it will be hosted on Jan. 28 at The Palladium Ballroom.

The Ball is a fifty-three year partnership between the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League and local high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who "work together and plan, produce and then attend" the event, which raises money to support the Cecil and Ida Green Youth Concert Series, according to the league's website. The Special Students at the Symphony program is one of beneficiaries of the Ball.

This year's event will include Texas party attire, a performance by the Casey Donahew Band, door prizes, casino games and more.

Throughout the past four years, the Junior Symphony Ball has raised close to $200,000 to help support the program.
