Carol Aaron has a true passion and desire to ensure that Jewish seniors are living their most fulfilling lives, with access to the highest quality of care in the best senior living communities in Greater Dallas. For the past three years as chair of The Board of Trustees of The Legacy Senior Communities, Aaron has dedicated countless hours to providing leadership and support, while educating the greater community about its obligation to help seniors as they age. She has served on the board of the not-for-profit organization for more than a decade and was honored at The Legacy Senior Communities, Inc. annual meeting for her positive impact, commitment and vision. Marc R. Stanley was installed as the new board chair, and he has been actively involved with the agency for 20 years. Aaron is taking on a new role that will ensure the future for state-of-the-art care for Jewish seniors in Dallas. She will serve as the first chair of The Legacy Midtown Park, a rental retirement community in its early conceptual stages.

“I am proud of what we have accomplished together, and I am excited to see what we can do in this next phase. One of my goals was to bridge the generations in our community, and we have been able to do that successfully.” said Aaron. “I have worked with a very strong team of professionals, board members and lay leaders. I am grateful for having the opportunity to serve and work alongside Michael Ellentuck, Andrea Statman and Brian Barnes. All of the board chairs do a remarkable job as well, and it has been my pleasure to work with Linda Garner, Jerry Rasansky and David Eisenberg. Everyone is doing the right thing for the right reason, and I have been personally fulfilled during my time as chair.”

The Legacy Senior Communities is the parent company of The Legacy Willow Bend, Plano’s first and only life care retirement community, The Legacy Preston Hollow, senior living residence in Dallas, and The Legacy at Home, which serves families in their homes across Greater Dallas. Each community had significant achievements during Aaron’s tenure. The Legacy Willow Bend recently received an extremely difficult to obtain deficiency-free inspection rating for its Health Care Center as well as for its assisted living and memory support levels of care from the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS). The Legacy Senior Communities has provided $1.5 million in financial assistance over the past three years. The Legacy at Home has grown into the largest not-for-profit home health care agency in Greater Dallas and recently became the preferred home health provider for Village Health Partners, a nationally recognized primary care practice based in Plano.

“The opportunities this community has received over the last few years and the opportunities that lie ahead in years to come would not have been possible without the leadership of Carol Aaron,” said Michael Ellentuck, president and CEO of The Legacy Senior Communities. “Carol leads by motivating, caring and implementing a vision. I continue to be amazed by her every day.”

“Some people ride in the cart, and some people push the cart. Carol definitely pushes the cart,” said Marc R. Stanley, chair of The Board of Trustees of The Legacy Senior Communities. “The people in this community do and give so much. Carol and the Aaron family have set the bar high as an example for everyone. I personally want to thank Carol for all that she has done.”
