Notre Dame School of Dallas celebrated its 8th annual “Spring Show” on Saturday April 6th at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church.

The theme, “Dancing with the Shooting Stars,” showcased every student at the school and even had a few surprise teacher appearances! Families were greeted with a star-studded lobby and the creative acts featured songs from Journey to Tina Turner. Every student was a star at this show!

Thanks to the support of several local businesses that donated gift cards for our silent auction, the Spring Show raised over $10,000 to support education for students with developmental disabilities.

Event chair and host Alex Eckler said, “This event is the highlight of the Notre Dame School year. It is a time for every student to shine in front of an audience filled with their parents, families, friends, and supporters. There is nothing else like it.”

Special thanks to parent volunteers, photographer Susan Hurley, the Notre Dame STAR Young Adult Program, and the amazing efforts of the Notre Dame School staff.

Together they prove that there are no limits, just possibilities at the Notre Dame School of Dallas!

Notre Dame School educates students with developmental disabilities and facilitates their integration into society.  As the only school in Dallas exclusively serving this student population, Notre Dame School is a unique educational resource in our city and provides special education to 163 students ages 6 to 22.  Notre Dame School is a Catholic school and is sponsored by the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
