The City of Dallas is continuing its fight against West Nile virus.

Two areas of North Dallas will be sprayed for mosquitoes from 10 p.m. Aug. 1 to 3 a.m. Aug. 2 by the city.

Here are the areas of North Dallas that will be sprayed:

  1. The section bound by Walnut Hill Lane to the north, Hillcrest Road to the west, East North Highway to the south and Central Expressway to the east;
  2. The section bound by Royal Lane to the north, Hillcrest Road to the west, Walnut Hill Lane to the south and Central Expressway to the east.

There have already been 42 reported cases of West Nile this season, according to the City of Dallas, and the virus has been detected in 69 mosquito pools throughout the city.
