Lower Elementary Students at St. Alcuin Montessori School recently celebrated the "International Day of Peace" (Peace Day) on Sept. 21. The event provided an opportunity for individuals, organizations and nations to create practical acts of peace on a shared date. The students read books and poems about peace. They also created peace doves, peace posters and slogans. To conclude their day, the children all wrote about what each of them can do now to make the world a more peaceful place.
St. Alcuin inspires its students to reach their highest levels of personal and academic achievement, guides them to become compassionate global citizens, and prepares them to embrace challenges with confidence and innovation by providing the ideal Montessori and International Baccalaureate education.
