On Saturday, June 16, young families joined together for the first Munchkin Minyan at Temple Shalom’s new north satellite in Plano. The morning was filled with many special “first” experiences. With guitar in hand, Ray Farris and Rabbi Boxman led the parents and children in prayer and song. Rabbi Boxman taught the group the Shemah in sign language and children loved playing musical instruments while singing V’shamru. After all the traditional prayers and favorite songs,  it was time for parachute games. The morning concluded with children gathering under the parachute as Rabbi Boxman recited a blessing for all the children. “The morning was filled with laughter, smiles and the voices of precious children.  It was a Shabbat we will all remember!” exclaimed Rabbi Boxman
