Join Breakthrough T1D for the Fort Worth Walk on Saturday, Nov. 14, at Panther Island Pavilion. This family-friendly event brings together thousands of people of all ages and abilities to support those living with type 1 diabetes (T1D), raise awareness and help advance research toward better treatments and a cure.
The morning begins at 8 a.m. with activities, Resource Row and stage entertainment. The opening ceremony and T1D Champions Parade begin at 9 a.m., followed by the 3-mile walk at 9:30 a.m. Light refreshments, activities and family fun continue at 10 a.m.
New this year, participants can take part in a Flag Ceremony, add messages of hope and encouragement to the Community Wall, explore the Pathway to Progress featuring milestones in T1D research, and see Breakthrough Mile signs honoring local T1D champions.
The walk celebrates the strength of the T1D community, including Youth Ambassador Marlee, who was diagnosed at age 6 in 2022. Today, she shares her story to raise awareness and inspire hope while staying active in softball, basketball and flag football. Her sisters, Malia and Mariah, also support the cause as ambassadors.
Come walk, connect with the T1D community and help make a difference. Participants can register to walk in person or virtually. The 3-mile walk is open to all ages and abilities.
