The Winston School hosted its annual Grandparents' and Grand-Friends Day on February 17, a popular event among students, staff, and families.  The day was filled with musical performances, classroom visits, games, and of course, lots of fun and smiles.  Over 250 guests were in attendance this year.

Winston Eagle Ambassadors greeted grandparents and special guests upon arrival.  The afternoon also featured performances by the Upper School Ensemble including two musical selections, "Caprice"  and "Country Gardens"  by Larry Clark as guests enjoyed a special Soda Shop themed lunch of hamburgers, french fries, and our chefs famous apple cobbler.  Junior Jason Bard performed a solo of "Chances Are" by Johnny Mathis and did an outstanding job.  His melodic voice was a treat for everyone.  Jason has been very successful at Winston and we know his academics and musical talent will take him to new heights of success.

Grandparents and Grand-Friends also had the opportunity to visit classrooms with their grandchildren. They met teachers and participated in activities specifically for the day's theme.  The activities included trivia questions from the 1950's about history, film and music, shaving cream art, grandparent interviews of their favorite childhood memories and much more.  It was a fun-filled day for all!
